Summary

Spark Minda, an automotive component manufacturer, trains its people on nine Smart Dojo principles. We replaced the classroom-style delivery with hands-on learning zones, one per principle, using AR, VR simulations, interactive displays and gamified challenges, and ran them as a one-day interactive event. Participants who used to sit through hour-long presentations were debating and solving problems instead.

The challenge

Spark Minda already had a clear training framework, the Smart Dojo, built on 9 core principles from safety and quality to teamwork and performance. The content and structure were sound.

The problem was engagement. Slides, lectures and handouts delivered the information, but people were not taking it in. Spark Minda wanted training that employees would experience, not just hear.

Traditional training before Smart Dojo transformation

What we built

We turned each principle from a slide into a zone participants could walk into and use. We also designed two structured canvases to frame the programme: a visual experience showcase and a full 9-principle framework.

  • Know your company: vision, values and business goals through interactive company timelines and AR brand storytelling.
  • Safety Dojo: a zero-accident mindset through hazard identification simulations and real-time safety scenario walkthroughs.
  • Maintenance Dojo: equipment care and downtime control through hands-on diagnostics and predictive maintenance demos.
  • Product Dojo: product knowledge through 3D exploded views and AR component exploration.
  • Process Dojo: SOPs and workflows through process mapping exercises and visual workflow builders.
  • Ergonomic Dojo: safe posture and injury prevention through posture analysis technology and ergonomic workstation set-ups.
  • Quality Dojo: continuous improvement and zero-defect thinking through quality inspection challenges and root cause analysis games.
  • Teamwork Dojo: collaboration and accountability through team problem-solving challenges and trust exercises.
  • Performance Dojo: a KPI-driven mindset through personal performance dashboards and goal-setting workshops.

How it worked on the day

The zones ran as a one-day interactive event covering all 9 principles. Employees gathered around tablets and pointed them at real components to see AR overlays, worked through safety protocols in simulations, and competed in team challenges that felt more like a game than a training session.

Results

The change was visible straight away. Participants who had previously sat through hour-long presentations were engaging, debating and solving problems.

Through the event, Spark Minda strengthened its company culture, raised safety awareness and reinforced operational standards. The Smart Dojo became something people talked about after the day ended, not just a training programme.

About the solution

Digital Dojo

A dojo is where new operators learn the basics before going to the line. Our Digital Dojo turns it into a modular training centre with VR stations, 3D-printed models, touch screens, sensor-based exercises and AI trainers. Trainees learn by seeing, doing and getting instant feedback.

  • Covers standard dojo modules: safety, quality, 5S, tools, assembly
  • VR simulations of your actual machines and processes
  • Scores and reports for every trainee
  • Set up inside your plant, or as a mobile dojo

Blue-collar VR training

Step-by-step VR modules for machine operation, assembly, maintenance and quality checks. Trainees practise as many times as they need, in the language your team speaks, without stopping a production line.

  • Built from your SOPs, work instructions and CAD data
  • Voice-guided step by step
  • AI trainer avatars that answer questions
  • Works on standalone headsets, no PC needed

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What did Metaverse911 build for Spark Minda?

Metaverse911 turned Spark Minda's nine Smart Dojo principles into hands-on learning zones, one per principle, replacing classroom-style slides. The zones used AR, VR simulations, interactive displays and gamified challenges, and ran as a one-day interactive event. Metaverse911 also designed two structured canvases for the programme: a visual experience showcase and a full 9-principle framework.

What are Spark Minda's nine Smart Dojo principles?

Spark Minda's Smart Dojo training framework covers nine areas: Know your company, Safety Dojo, Maintenance Dojo, Product Dojo, Process Dojo, Ergonomic Dojo, Quality Dojo, Teamwork Dojo and Performance Dojo. Together they range from safety and quality to teamwork and performance. Metaverse911 gave each principle its own interactive zone using AR, simulations or gamified challenges.

What problem was Spark Minda trying to solve with AR and VR training?

Spark Minda's problem was engagement rather than content. Its Smart Dojo framework was sound, but slides, lectures and handouts were not helping people take in the information. Spark Minda wanted training that employees would experience, not just hear, so Metaverse911 converted each principle into a zone that participants could walk into and use.

How did the Spark Minda Smart Dojo event work on the day?

The Spark Minda Smart Dojo zones ran as a one-day interactive event covering all nine principles. Employees gathered around tablets and pointed them at real components to see AR overlays, worked through safety protocols in simulations, and competed in team challenges that felt more like a game than a training session.

What results did Spark Minda see from the interactive Smart Dojo event?

Spark Minda saw a visible change straight away. Participants who had previously sat through hour-long presentations were engaging, debating and solving problems. Through the event, Spark Minda strengthened its company culture, raised safety awareness and reinforced operational standards, and the Smart Dojo became something people talked about after the day ended.
