What the Fire Guardian Challenge is

A fire extinguisher on a stand does not tell visitors much. Static demos get little engagement, short visits and poor recall. The Fire Guardian Challenge turns the product into a game. Visitors pick up a real fire extinguisher and use it to put out a fire on a 100-inch LED screen, while IoT motion sensors track their aim and the game keeps score.

Who it is for

  • Fire safety equipment makers exhibiting at trade shows.
  • Manufacturers who want visitors to try a product, not just look at it.
  • Safety teams who want hands-on awareness sessions.

How it works

  1. The visitor enters the zone and picks up an extinguisher.
  2. A fire scenario appears on the LED screen.
  3. The visitor sprays at the fire. Motion sensors track the extinguisher in real time, against the clock.
  4. The game shows a score and feedback.
  5. The leaderboard updates, which brings other visitors in to beat the score.
  6. Your sales team takes over the conversation with an engaged visitor.

The game can also compare products. In one version, visitors tried a generic extinguisher and then the client's own, and the screen compared powder-based, foam-based and composite extinguishers on weight and effectiveness.
