Vuzix

What the demo shows

The Vuzix M400 smart glasses used in aviation for three jobs: training pilots and engineers, running warehouse operations, and screening at airport security. Our AR solutions have been developed in collaboration with Vuzix, a maker of hands-free smart glasses.

Who it is for

Aviation training heads, airline and airport operations managers, warehouse leads and airport security teams.

How it works

The glasses

The Vuzix M400 is designed for all-day wear, with an OLED display, auto-focus camera and built-in scanner, Qualcomm XR1 processor, hot-swappable batteries, voice control in multiple languages and left or right eye mounting. The demo includes the Face Pro online training and remote collaboration tool and the Moviynt maintenance workflow solution on the M400.

Aviation training

  • Interactive flight simulations, including emergency scenarios
  • Instructors give live feedback directly into the trainee’s view
  • Step-by-step AR maintenance procedures, for more accuracy and less training time

Operations and warehousing

  • Real-time instructions and visual cues for pick and pack
  • Up-to-date inventory data and locations
  • Remote guidance so staff resolve issues quickly

Airport and checkpoint security

The Smart Face platform supports screening at checkpoints.

  • Information about passengers and belongings shown during screening
  • Suspicious activity highlighted, with integration into existing systems
  • Virtual drills and simulations for consistent training

Where it is used

In aviation training centres, airline and airport warehouses, and security checkpoints. It reduces the need for physical simulators and travel, gives trainees instant feedback, improves picking accuracy and speeds up screening.
